Description:

This custom helmet workstation built by LM Cases is designed for athletic organizations who use coach to player communication systems and also need to view instant replay video. This custom trunk is intended to be used by college and high school football programs who need a single trunk to handle helmet storage, charging, repair and video replay.

The audio visual and electrical components were specified and installed by the LM Cases Custom Integration Department. The video system is based around a 32” 4K display. Video is fed to the TV via an easily accessed HDMI jack located in the trunk’s lid. A locking HDMI cable is provided to interface with the trunk’s HDMI jack and connect with playback equipment. Audio is provided via a Sonos Beam located below the TV. This soundbar is capable of providing audio from the TV as well as wireless streaming from user’s smart devices. The trunk includes a built in Wifi network. The network is centered around a standalone router and long range Wifi access point. The access point provides a 2,000sq ft range around the system. Users can tether their hot spot capable devices to the router via USB to provide a remote network should wired network not be available. A LM Tour Systems 25ft Locking Ethercon – RJ 45 cable is included with the system to provide network when a venue wired connection is available. Once connected to the trunk’s Wifi network, users can stream video to the TV and or audio to the sound bar. Wifi is a more stable connection vs Bluetooth allowing users to remain connected to the case at a further range. 

The lid features a 48” wide light. The lid also features a custom power box outfitted with a white illuminated rocker switch to control the light and a duplex AC outlet with USB A & C charge ports. A Powercon® jack is provided for additional outputs. A 2ft LM Tour Systems Powercon – 4-Plex charging cable is included for 4 additional outlets.

The main work surface is 50” wide x 23.375” deep and built from high visibility white HDPE plastic. Below the work surface are 2 heavy duty drawers. Each drawer is built from ½” HDPE plastic and mounted on HD Accuride glides. The drawers are split into 2 sections that are outfitted with 2 movable dividers each.

The helmet compartments are designed to accommodate all sizes with exterior safety padding. Each compartment features an adjacent LM Tour Systems DSK-AC power box outfitted with a duplex AC outlet with USB A & C charge ports. Below each power module is a cubby for small devices to store while charging.

The exterior case is built from ½” plywood laminated with your choice of ABS plastic colors. The exterior features 20 deep recessed handles and ½” HDPE plastic runners. The case rides on 6” outdoor casters with the front 2 locking. The front lid features 2 sets of table legs.
