Description:

The LM Cases 20RU Shock-Mounted Portable Server Rack is designed for transporting and deploying sensitive server, networking, broadcast, and IT equipment in demanding mobile applications. Ideal for data center moves, trade shows, mobile command centers, temporary network installations, and touring production environments, this rack combines heavy-duty ATA-style construction with substantial shock protection and a deep equipment mounting area.

At the center of the case is a rugged 1/2" plywood inner rack shell suspended within 2" of shock-absorbing foam, helping isolate mounted equipment from vibration and impact during transportation. The interior of the rack shell is finished in black ABS for a clean, durable surface.

The rack features 20RU of square-hole cage-nut style rack rail, making it compatible with the mounting hardware commonly supplied with servers, network switches, storage systems, UPS units, and other professional IT equipment. Front and rear rack rails provide approximately 28" of rail-to-rail mounting depth, allowing the case to accommodate deeper equipment and slide-rail systems commonly used in server applications. The drawing specifies 27.875" between the front and rear rails.

The exterior case is constructed from 1/2" plywood laminated with durable ABS plastic and incorporates six deep recessed handles in the case body. Two lift handles are positioned on each side for team handling, while a centrally located pull handle provides a more comfortable position for maneuvering the loaded rack on its casters.

Both removable 3.5" deep lids include two slim recessed handles for easier removal and handling. Each lid is also equipped with folding, heavy-duty powder-coated steel table legs, allowing the lids to be converted into two independent freestanding work tables once the rack is deployed. This provides convenient workspace for laptops, test equipment, networking tools, documentation, or other equipment without requiring separate tables at the installation site. 

Mobility is handled by four 4" x 2" heavy-duty Colson casters, including two locking casters, mounted to a full-size 3/4" caster board for added strength beneath heavily loaded server equipment. Both lids are secured with recessed hardware and include two padlockable hasps per lid for additional security during transportation or storage.

With its shock-mounted inner rack, deep server-compatible mounting area, integrated handling hardware, and convertible table lids, this case provides a complete mobile enclosure and workstation solution for professional IT and technical equipment.
