Description: 

The LM Cases Martin Audio XD15 2-Capacity Speaker Road Case is a heavy-duty touring case designed specifically to transport and protect two Martin Audio XD15 loudspeakers. Built around the shape of the XD15 enclosure, the case uses a custom-contoured interior that securely locates each speaker while providing substantial foam protection during transport.

Unlike a conventional foam-only speaker case, the top of the custom speaker insert is protected by a 1/4" marine-grade plastic cap. This durable loading surface is an important feature when handling large, heavy loudspeakers. In normal use, speakers are often slid or dragged across the insert as they are positioned into their individual cavities. Repeatedly doing this directly against exposed foam can cause the surface to tear and deteriorate over time.

The LM Cases design places the marine-grade plastic surface over the foam, allowing the XD15 cabinets to slide across a much more durable surface before dropping into their precisely contoured openings. The plastic protects the underlying foam from abrasion while retaining the cushioning and custom fit provided by the foam insert. 

Each XD15 sits in its own CNC-cut cavity, shaped around the loudspeaker rather than relying on a simple rectangular compartment. This helps positively locate the speakers inside the case and minimizes unnecessary movement during transportation. 

The removable lid is also foam lined to provide protection around the upper portions of both loudspeakers. The interior uses multiple densities and thicknesses of polyethylene foam to provide support around the speakers while keeping them separated from the case structure. 

The exterior is constructed using professional 3/8" plywood laminated with your choice of ABS plastic colors and features recessed hardware and heavy-duty casters, making the case suitable for touring audio companies, rental houses, venues, production companies, and other applications where XD15 loudspeakers are transported regularly.
