Description: 

The LM Cases Yamaha RIVAGE PM5 CS-R5 Control Surface Case is a professional touring road case designed specifically for the Yamaha CS-R5 control surface. Built for demanding concert touring, theatrical, broadcast, house-of-worship, and production environments, this case combines heavy-duty transport protection with an integrated FOH workspace designed to keep the console, monitors, keyboard, and accessories organized and ready for deployment.

The CS-R5 is supported by a custom CNC-cut foam interior engineered around the shape of the console. The console chassis is supported from below and along the rear to securely position the surface during transportation while protecting the control surface from impact and movement. The current case design uses multiple densities and types of protective foam throughout the tray and lids to provide support where it is needed without interfering with the console itself. 

Behind the console is an integrated Baltic Birch doghouse that provides protected space for cabling and connections while creating a clean working environment at FOH. The doghouse incorporates a hinged top section and removable rear access panels, allowing technicians to reach the rear of the CS-R5 without removing the console from the case. The exterior surfaces of the doghouse are finished with a durable black texture coating. 

A center-mounted slide-out keyboard tray is built directly into the workstation. The tray features a stainless-steel pull handle and a routed XLPE foam wrist rest for operator comfort. On either side of the keyboard tray are two independent slide-out utility shelves with durable work surfaces, providing convenient space for a laptop, cue sheet, communication equipment, small control devices, or other FOH accessories. The updated design uses Formica work surfaces with clearance spacers and heavy-duty slide hardware. 

The case also incorporates two articulating monitor arms along with dedicated monitor-arm mounting provisions. Two monitor storage compartments are built into the upper lid so the displays can travel with the console system. The current design is sized around the Dell P2418HT 24-inch touch monitor, with dedicated foam protection surrounding each monitor compartment. 

Retractable headphone hangers are positioned at both ends of the console workspace, keeping headphones readily accessible during operation while allowing them to be tucked away when not needed. The drawing also incorporates dedicated cavities and protection for the monitor assemblies and associated components when the system is packed for transport. 

The exterior case is constructed from 1/2-inch plywood laminated with ABS plastic and finished with professional ATA-style aluminum edging, recessed hardware, and heavy-duty road case components. Twenty deep recessed handles are distributed between the case sections and caster board to make handling a case of this size easier for touring crews. Six 4-inch Colson casters are mounted to a full-size 3/4-inch caster board for dependable mobility on show sites, loading docks, and truck packs. The case tray also includes 1/2-inch marine-grade plastic runners, allowing the console section to be safely supported when placed on production tables, stands, or EZ-Tilt style supports. 

The three-piece design allows the upper lid and lower/caster section to be removed once the console is positioned, leaving the CS-R5 installed in its working tray. This reduces setup time while creating a complete, self-contained FOH control position with integrated monitor mounting, keyboard access, work surfaces, headphone storage, and cable management.
