Description:
The 25-0470 LED Control Module by LM Tour Systems is a rugged, tour-grade solution for powering and controlling 12V RGB LED lighting in racks, workstations, and integrated systems. Designed from the ground up for real-world use, this unit delivers simple operation, reliable performance, and clean system integration without unnecessary complexity.
The chassis is constructed from black anodized brushed aluminum, featuring a .125” front panel and .063” rear enclosure for a lightweight but durable build that holds up in demanding environments. Whether it’s living in a rack, a workbox, or a custom install, this unit is built to take abuse and keep working.
Control is handled via an OLED display and rotary encoder, giving users fast and intuitive access to all functions. The main menu provides seven preset colors—white, red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow—while also allowing full RGB adjustment (0–255) for custom color creation. Brightness is easily controlled from the encoder, making it quick to dial in the exact look without digging through complicated menus.
On the rear of the unit are four parallel 4-pin XLR outputs, allowing multiple fixtures to be connected with the same power and control signal. The unit is designed for 12V common-anode RGB lighting, with a clearly labeled pinout for easy verification:
Pin 4 = +12V DC, Pin 3 = Blue (-), Pin 2 = Green (-), Pin 1 = Red (-).
This makes it compatible with a wide range of analog RGB LED strips and fixtures. Optional pre-terminated LED strips with XLR connectors are available for plug-and-play setups.
Power is brought into the unit via a Neutrik NAC3PX-TOP inlet/outlet. This is intended to provide a locking power inlet and provide an additional True1 locking power output for neater cabling in racks. The power cable is sold separately so the user can customize their install as needed. The recommended cables are a LM Tour Systems Edison – True1 Cable or a True1 – True1 Link Cable. Many LM Tour Systems power distribution units feature a True1 outlet which is a perfect way to power the unit. Need more outlets? Add a LM Tour Systems True1 To 4-Plex cable! The inlet/outlet jack is intentionally mounted upside down as we find most users mount the unit in the top rear space of a rack. This orientation allows the True1 release latch on the power connector(s) to be easily accessed.
The unit has been tested with three 5-meter RGB LED strips, each drawing 2.98A at 12V DC, for a total load of 8.94A (107W). For reliable operation, it is recommended to stay within this range, making the module ideal for powering up to three standard 16 ft RGB LED strips or equivalent loads.
The 25-0470 is designed for common-anode, 4-wire analog RGB lighting only and is not intended for addressable or pixel-based LED systems. Outputs are parallel, making it perfect for applications where consistent color and brightness across multiple fixtures is required.
If you need a simple, durable, and field-ready way to power and control RGB lighting without relying on consumer-grade controllers, this is it. Built for the road, built to integrate, and built to work the first time.
